I’m Larina, a wholefood dietitian and writer dedicated to helping you enjoy being you by getting your food intolerances under control. 

If you’ve ever experienced frustration and confusion around what you eat and how it reacts to your body. You’re not alone! I’ve spent the past 15 years trying to figure out how my body works and why I can’t eat certain things, and I’m here to help you do the same.

To most, it’s a bodily function we’d rather not talk about and pretend like it doesn’t happen. For others, regular toilet humour gives them the best belly laughs.

For me, the gut and its function, including its impact on our overall health and wellbeing is a source of endless wonder.

Think of me like Alice in Wonderland, except Wonderland is the digestive tract and the good and bad guys along the way are teeny tiny types of bacteria, nutrients, and other compounds that live, pass through, get created or get absorbed along the way.

Every twist and turn and different body organ is a whole new world of fascinating events and clever critters to discover.

My own personal food intolerance issues sent me down the path of gut health and the more I research and learn, the more apparent its become that we need to, first and foremost, understand how our bodies actually work.

From there, we can better understand the effect that food has on our bodies, and what we can do to take back control of our health and give ourselves what we uniquely need to thrive.

That’s why I’m here to help you get clear about nutrition, provide honest product reviews, create simple, healthy recipes, and update you on the latest evidence-based nutrition knowledge for a healthy gut, reduced inflammation, a happy mind, and a lifestyle where, no matter your dietary needs, you can enjoy being you.
