I’m a Wholefood Dietitian living on the Sunshine Coast of Australia whose fortunate to dedicate her days to helping others understand their bodies and navigate the world of food intolerances.
Helping people just like you figure out what is going on with their digestive system and regain control of your body, and your life.
Having food intolerances for over 15 years, I know the difficulties when eating out, ordering in, travelling to new places, and the frustrations of eating a diet that simply doesn’t work for your body!
My motto for life and The Body Dietetics is – Enjoy Being You® because when we nourish our bodies with the right foods to suit our own unique needs, we can really focus on conquering our goals and getting the most of life.
There’s no point staying miserable forever about your unique needs. You need to tackle your health issues head on, then go kick those life goals you’ve been dreaming about. Your wildest dreams start and stay with a healthy foundation, and I’m proof that it’s possible. It might not be easy to start with, but I know you can do it.
For 15 years I’ve had doctors, specialists and medical practitioners tell me they didn’t know what was wrong with me. I always struggled with bloating, fatigue, abdominal cramps, abnormal (and often unexpected) bowel movements, anxiety, depression, headaches, joint pain, and even some days where my body was so over it, that I couldn’t get out of bed for two days straight.
I was sick of feeling sick.
After eliminating certain foods from my diet and noticing a big improvement, I stayed with my own little dietary plan for years. It worked to an extent. But I never really knew why. Things changed and after a health and fitness kick in my early 20’s I discovered a passion for nutrition and food that I never knew I had. I became more determined than ever to figure out what was going on with my body, what I personally should be eating to feel great and wanted to learn how to rid myself of these limiting (and often embarrassing) symptoms for good.
I became a Wholefood Dietitian.
I finally learnt how the body works. I discovered so many fascinating and intricate functions of the body that I learnt not to be angry at myself anymore, but amazed and appreciative of everything my body is doing for me, every, single, second I’m alive.
While I studied nutrition and dietetics initially for selfish reasons, I continued to come across so many people searching for similar answers.
So many people, just like you and I, are silently suffering from symptoms of food intolerance or diseases like Coeliac Disease that are having life-altering impacts. Both physically and mentally. I wanted to change that.
I want to help you.
My ultimate aim is not to come across as a know-it-all. I don’t think I ever will be, as this field is forever changing with new research and discoveries. But I am here to share the knowledge and tools that can help you be the best version of you.
